Moroccan basketry is a Berber specialty from Middle Atlas and High Atlas mountain areas. Weavers offer a wide range of products: baskets, bags, boxes, plates, carpets, chairs, ottomans ... Depending on the region, baskets are made of dwarf palms fibers (called "doum"), cane or reed . Their colour can be natural or dyed. Floral or geometric patterns enhance each piece. Moroccan basketry is part of a sustainable development scheme in rural regions.
